Miles is co-head of Cannon Capital and is responsible for driving investment strategy and management of portfolio companies. Miles has 20 years of investment experience and a background in engineering, turn around management and start ups. He is the author of two books, founder of three start ups and principal inventor on 125 patents. Miles has served in executive and interim executive roles at companies in various lifecycle stages and industries.
Education: M.S. in Management and Engineering and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Gordon is co-head of Cannon Capital and responsible for investment decisions and portfolio management. He has twenty-nine years of private equity and investment experience, most recently as President of Specialty Finance and European Capital at American Capital. Gordon has served on numerous private boards and is currently a member of the board of The Middleby Corporation (NASDAQ: MIDD).
Education: M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
Anthony is responsible for sourcing, deal execution and helping portfolio companies evaluate strategic plans. Anthony has eight years of investment experience and began his career in investment banking. He has experience across a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, oil & gas and consumer. Anthony has served in a number of interim executive roles and has served on the board of directors at portfolio companies.
Education: B.S.C. in Finance from Santa Clara University.
Director of Research
Kwam leads Cannon's proprietary research efforts, which drive bottoms-up analysis for new investment decisions and strategic evaluation at portfolio companies. In addition to market research, Kwam has experience working in private equity, investment banking and hedge funds, and he has held interim executive roles.
Education: M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and B.A. in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Natalie is responsible for financial analysis of prospective investments, generating bottoms-up industry research and aiding in portfolio management. Natalie has previous experience in cross-border M&A, venture capital and entrepreneurship.
Education: B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
Krzysztof is responsible for financial analysis of prospective investments and conducting research for new investment opportunities. Krzysztof has previous experience in real estate private equity and fund of funds investing.
Education: B.S.E in Operations Research and Financial Engineering with certificates in Finance and Computer Science from Princeton University
Vice President and Controller
Lucia is responsible for overseeing the financials of Cannon and its portfolio companies as well as providing financial diligence, valuations and interim executive roles while maintaining investor relations. Lucia has over 15 years working at start-up and mid-market privately-held companies, enhancing operational efficiency with a focus in Finance and Human Resources. Lucia has experience working with venture capital firms to secure funding and was previously appointed Secretary & Treasurer to the board of directors.
Education: B.S.C. in Business Management with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College.
Advisor and Investment Committee Member
Roland serves as an advisor and as a member of Cannon’s Investment Committee. Roland previously worked at American Capital (“ACAS”) for 26 years where he founded and directed the San Francisco deal team/office, helped launch and integrate the firm’s European operation and served on ACAS’ Investment Committee for 14 years, with oversight of the due diligence/credit underwriting function. Prior to ACAS, Roland founded and directed an advisory firm focused on change-of-control ESOP transactions, after previously working at several publicly-traded and non-profit firms.
Education: BA in Psychology and MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
